We were honoured to welcome Bishop Rose, the Bishop of Dover, to St Augustine Academy yesterday for a truly inspiring visit that left a lasting impression on both students and staff.

Her day began with a vibrant and engaging assembly for Years 7 and 8, during which she shared her fantastic story that captured everyone’s imagination. Her message of hope, resilience, and purpose resonated deeply with our younger students, who were captivated by her warmth and wisdom.

Following the assembly, Bishop Rose enjoyed a lovely breakfast during break time in Mr Ball’s office, where she chatted with students in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It was a special moment of connection, and the students appreciated the chance to ask lots of questions, speak with her informally and share their experiences.

Later in the morning, she met with a group of our older students for an open and thoughtful discussion about school life and their aspirations for the future. Bishop Rose listened attentively and encouraged our students to dream big, offering valuable insights and encouragement.

We were all thrilled to have Bishop Rose with us, and her visit was a true highlight of the school year. We are so pleased to count her as part of the St Augustine Academy family, and we look forward to welcoming her back again in the future.
