SIAMS 2024

St Augustine Academy SIAMS report has just been published following an inspection last month. There is a requirement for all church schools to be inspected regularly as part of the SIAMS process – the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools.

The report identifies the school’s many strengths:

  • Promotes an inclusive approach to learning which seeks to develop the wholeness of each person.
  • Children are flourishing because of St Augustine care about the whole child and not just their academic development.
  • Leaders are committed to supporting every member of the school to flourish spiritually, emotionally and academically.
  • Parents see the vision reflected in how the school thinks about what is best for each individual student to enable them to flourish.

Principal, Steffan Ball commented:

“It’s a privilege to be the head of the St Augustine Academy family. This is just the beginning of the journey to make our school the preferred choice for students and families in Maidstone. We’re committed to being an integral part of the community, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for all.”

Mr Gary Starling (Chairman of the Governing Body) commented:

“The SIAMS report fully reflects the hard work and dedication shown by the staff and students in promoting a culture of inclusiveness and compassion throughout the school. I am proud of their achievements. “

Mrs Keeley James (Head of Religious Education, Careers Coordinator and School Chaplain) commented:

“I am thrilled that St Augustine Academy has received such a fantastic SIAMS inspection report, reflecting on our commitment to the school values of Courage, Compassion and Community. As the Chaplain, I am immensely proud to help steer our school within the Christian ethos, nurturing a supporting environment where every member of our school family can flourish.”
