One of our year 11 students, Levente Vas, is a very keen and talented guitarist. He is always part of the band for our Performing Arts productions and when he was younger, he even offered guitar lessons to other students as part of a business challenge at the Academy.

We were all delighted to hear that he has just taken a London College exam on the guitar at the highest level - Grade 8 - and has earned himself a Distinction certificate. As well as performing a group of pieces to a very high standard, he also had to show his fluency in playing scales and arpeggios and undergo an aural assessment. All these skills are only developed by regular, careful practice on the instrument.
