Students undertaking their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award successfully completed a training weekend, learning all the skills needed for the Expedition later this year. Sessions on maps and navigation, menu planning, cooking, first aid and campcraft were led by staff from KCC DofE. All these skills were put to use during a training walk on the Sunday. Well done to everyone who took part, the instructors were really impressed with focus of the whole group. Thank you to Mr Fishman, Mr Knuckles, Miss Michell and Mr Morrish for supporting the students over the weekend. Now the route planning for the Qualifying Expedition in October begins...
