On Thursday 9^th December the PE Department rewarded 14 girls for their commitment and achievement in girl’s football with a trip to the Emirates Stadium to watch a Champions League match between Arsenal Ladies vs Barcelona Ladies. The girls have achieved some great results so far this year with their 8-1 win over The North and 5-0 win against Cornwallis, the trip provided a well-deserved reward for that. The girls were able to watch some England Women Internationals including Nikita Parris, Beth Mead and Jordan Nobbs from Arsenal as well as the recently crowned Ballon D’Or Winner (best player in the world award) Alexia Putellas from Barcelona. For some this was their first visit to a football stadium and the girls certainly enjoyed the experience.
