Students from Years 9 and 10 took part in a training weekend and practice walk in preparation for their final Duke of Edinburgh Expedition in July. Sessions on day 1 covered first aid, equipment, tents, cooking and safe use of stoves. There was also work on navigation and map skills, which was then put into practice on day 2 when teams walked from Maidstone to Burham, following a planned route. Every student worked really hard to improve their skills and enjoyed their weekend.
