Our talented Year 7 squad produced an emphatic victory to put themselves through to the next stage of the District Cup competition. Donald John got the ball rolling for the hosts when he was put through 1v1 with the New Line keeper and he slotted his shot into the corner to give SAA an early lead. A brilliant delivery from the New Line player caused chaos in the SAA box and the New Line striker pounced to equalise. Captain Finley Sale led by example the whole game with his excellent work rate and quality on the ball, and it was his finish, fired into the bottom corner that gave SAA the lead once again. St Augustine began to control the game with some fine passing and they extended their lead when Alfie Gamble let fly from the edge of the box to find the roof of the net for 3-1. Preston Petronis converted a penalty to take the scoring to four at the break. Skipper Sale scored the fifth to cap a superb performance from the St Augustine Sevens.
