Also on Monday, Mr Challiss took a group of year 7 & 8 basketball players over to the Malling for a tournament alongside Aylesford & Wrotham. St Augustine began with a 10-6 victory over Wrotham (second highest points scored in a game) year 7’s Jay Austin, Jake Parks, Palden Gurung and year 8 Enoch Ehiemua scoring the baskets. Then came the game of the day as an exciting end-to-end encounter ended The Malling 8, St Augustine 7. Our final game, came against Aylesford which ended in 12-4 defeat. A good effort from the boys, with the majority playing in their first basketball fixture.
