BackEaster service
Posted on: 20th Apr 2023On the last day of term 4, years 7 and 8 took part in an end of term Easter service assembly.
This was led by our school Chaplain Mrs James alongside our special guest, The Reverend Canon Ralph Godsall, who is our school Provost based at Westminster Abbey.
The service focused on key events of Jesus Christ and the Easter story.
Hymns were played on the piano by year 11 student Daniel Daley, whilst Blossom Okiemute-Sanubi Year 9 and Mike Hilden Year 10 read our Bible scriptures beautifully.
It was the first time in a very long time that students and staff had shared holy communion together. over 150 students took part in this significant act of Christian worship.
Mrs James had only bought 100 communion cups so some quick washing up needed to be done halfway through the service so that all could take part – a huge thank you to Mr Fishman who helped pour out the grape juice.
The service concluded with a message from our Principal Mr Feldwick who wished everyone a very happy Easter holiday.
Reverend Ralph was very pleased with service, describing it as a “Wonderful Easter celebration”.
