BackKey Stage 4 Rewards Evening
Posted on: 13th Jul 2023The annual Key Stage 4 celebration evening is always one of the highlights of the academic year at St Augustine Academy.
The Academy’s Main Hall was packed with students, their families and staff, all looking forward to the awarding of certificates, rewards and trophies to some of our hardest working students.
We were also thrilled to welcome members St Augustine Academy’s Governing Body who were able to join us in celebrating the many successes of our students.
Before taking their seats in the Hall, all of our visitors were able to enjoy a colourful display of work in the foyer comprising of examples of fascinating and imaginative pieces created by Year 11 Art students.
Mr Feldwick – Principal introduced the evening, following by a wonderful speech by our outgoing Head girl – Hollie Bonner – Year 11 who beautifully described her journey through St Augustine Academy life.
Presentation of subject awards followed; the outstanding musical talent of Amy Cindric – Year 10 then treated the crowd to a wonderful rendition of ‘Je te laisserai des mots’ on the piano.
The evening was completed with the presentation of 5 very special awards:
- The Woodard Board prize – Jaime-Lee Dearing – Year 10
- The Jeannie Sebell Award for Great Endeavour & Resolution – Nathan Duncan – Year 11
- Year 10 – Outstanding Academic Excellence – Hannah Elliott
- Year 11 – Outstanding Academic Excellence – Lottie Carey
- The Academy Council Award – Erin Jarvis-Baker
