BackExam results - well done everyone!
Posted on: 28th Aug 2023Congratulations to the Class of 2023 on your examination results
I would like to congratulate all students who have received results their this year. Sent home from school in March 2020, whilst in year 8, and again in January 2021 whilst being taught in a ‘bubble’, this year’s students have experienced several disruptions to their education. However, they have responded well and despite a return to pre-pandemic grading levels across England, a majority have secured a good set of qualifications.
I am incredibly proud of all of our students who have shown resilience in unprecedented times to keep on going. They have worked so hard and whatever their envelopes contain, we are sure that so many of them went above and beyond and will go on to great things. Students are moving on to continue their studies at a range of grammar schools and colleges with some students also having secured apprenticeships.
There were some impressive individual performances from individuals including:
Caitlin Fowler 4 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s, 2 grade 7s
Hannah Down 2 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s, 2 grade 7s
Valerie Ehiemobi 1 grade 9, 2 grade 8s, 4 grade7s,1 grade 5 Brad Luke 8 grade 8s, 2 grade 7s, 3 grade 6s
Ryan Nguyen 2 grade 8s, 3 grade 7s, 3 grade 6s
Jake Shiells 3 grade 8s, 3 grade 7s, 2 grade 6s
Shayla Sutton 2 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s, 2 grade 7s
Results at the Academy are slightly up based on 2019, which is testament to the hard work of the students and staff despite the disruptions we have all experienced.
Congratulations to all of our year 11s - we are so proud of you all. Ms Dean
