On Wednesday 13^th December, St Augustine Academy held a Christmas Celebration Day. Not only did students have the opportunity to take part in a delicious Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, but we also held our annual Christmas Fair and Carol Service.

The Christmas Fair was a great success, we would like to thank all of the students, staff and PTFA members for their fantastic help at such short notice!

The fair was buzzing with festive stalls, yummy fudge, beautiful gifts and our famous raffle! Some of our year 10 and 11 students dressed up as elves to help with event.It was fantastic to see so many students past and present with their families in attendance.

Father Christmas came along too and gave presents to children who visited him in his grotto and 3 extra little elves from y8 did a wonderful job serving refreshments to the public.

After the excitement of the Fair it was time to settle down to our Christmas Carol Service.

Our Chaplain Mrs James lead the KS3 choir who took to the stage and sang some beautiful Christmas Carols to the wonderful piano playing of Mr Ross and read scripture from the Bible that told of the birth of Jesus.

Everyone had a great singalong of ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ at the end as Santa and his elves handed out a chocolate treat to the audience. Many of those in attendance described how much they enjoyed the singing and our naughty little elf who made an appearance with his own snow machine!

A great day was had by all and lots of money raised for other events that will take place next year.
