A group of very happy students visited the Sondheim Theatre in London recently and had a fantastic time. They had been offered the chance to go by Miss Michell to see the well-known hit musical 'Les Miserables.' For many students this was an introduction to live theatre and hopefully will start - or increase - a love of the arts.

Not only were the students happy at the end of the day but parents' feedback on the event was very positive:

• I'm so pleased the trip went well and all had a good time. Especially nice to hear how students conducted themselves in an appropriate manner, showing their manners and maturity whilst representing the school. 
• Thank you for making Casey's 16th birthday a memorable one too- she told me how she had great fun singing on the coach! Casey has seen Les Mis before, but she just adored seeing it again, so thank you to all the staff for taking her and looking after her. 
• I think communication was amazing, timings were perfect and all in all you did an awesome job, thank you! 
• I just wanted to say thank you for giving up your time for this trip today. Izzy had a great time and I’m so pleased she managed it (being out of her comfort zone) 
• I just wanted to say a massive thank you.  Abbie & Ellie are absolutely buzzing and said they had the most amazing time.

• Violet (7c) has had an absolutely brilliant time on the trip today. She came home all smiles and chatted about the journey there and back and how amazing the show was. She was enthralled with the indoor pyrotechnics! She was surprised that only five year 7 children went but I explained that some parents probably thought that the show was not suitable for their child. I commend you and the other staff members for taking the children on such a marvellous trip.
• Communication was brilliant, I also liked the fact you shared your number incase of emergency. I feel that these sort of trips really help to nurture a love of the arts.
• Thank you so much for organising the trip for the kids. Senina had such a good time, she was blown away by the show but also really enjoyed the coach trip to and from. She was buzzing when we picked her up this evening.
